Cheddar Caramelized Onion Crostini

Total Time: 20 minutes

Servings: 24 Crostini

2 tbsp butter
4 onions, sliced into thin strips
1 tsp rosemary,
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 baguette
1 cup Cracker Barrel Double Cheddar Shredded Cheese
1 tsp rosemary

  1. In a medium sized frying pan over medium heat add the butter, thinly sliced onions and 1 tsp rosemary. Stirring often, sauté for 10-15 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and caramelized.
  2. While the onions are cooking, preheat oven to 350°F.
  3. Slice the baguette into approximately 24 slices. Brush each slice with the olive oil. Transfer to a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake for about 5-8 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
  4. Place 1 teaspoon of the caramelized onions onto each bread slice. Evenly distribute the Cracker Barrel Double Cheddar Shredded Cheese on top of the slices of bread.
  5. Transfer the baking tray back to the oven for about 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  6. Sprinkle rosemary on top of each crostini. Serve and enjoy!
